Delete this file by dragging it to the trash and emptying, (the pref file gets recreated again the next time you open Spotify so don't worry). Application is a free and cross-platform application that is used to set up and control your home sound system.

Depending on which OS you are on, if you can't see the exact file name search instead for 'spotify' in the same folder using the search function.

Locate the file name: "", either by viewing the list alphabetically, or use the search feature at the top of the folder window to find the file name (don't forget to select Preferences from the search bar to only search in this folder). This will open a new folder window on your desktop. Go to the FINDER desktop window (your main desktop screen), select GO from the menu at the top of the screen, hold down the ALT/OPT key and choose LIBRARY from the list (about half way down the list). You can listen to TV, Radio, Audiobooks, and even MP3’s from your old CD collection once synced. On the Mac, quit out of both Sonos and Spotify. The Sonos controller is the leading software, and sound system for playing music. This was an issue on my Mac, if you are on Windows you may need to google where the Prefs files are located. happens on all my devices: iPhone / iOS, Mac Desktop - I dont use a mesh network for Wifi although I know Sonos sets up its own.

Couple caviats: they are managed by Remote Desktop and they are on a schedule that shuts them down for 8 hours a day and restarts them. Spotify Desktop App for Mac No Longer Controls Son. I picked up a couple Mac minis for 110 each and wiped them, new 128gb ssds and just Plexamp installed.
